Gospel Moments (1): Creator God (Part One)

CREATOR GOD

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning,
God created the heavens
and the earth.

As we meditate on the gospel
we want to begin at the beginning,
at the origin of life itself.

God is God.
He is the creator of all things,
living and non-living things.
God created you.
He is the author and giver of life.
He is the one who sustains life
and the one who causes
all things to grow.

Where would
we be without Him?

We have been given the
amazing gift of life
and we often take it
and its giver for granted.

Other things cloud our
thinking and crowd out
the important.

TAKE THE GOSPEL
TO HEART

Clear away all thoughts
in your mind.
Wipe the slate clean and
center in on this one thing:

God who is your creator
and the gift of life
He has given to you.

As you consider these things
pray through Psalm 63.

1 O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in  a dry and weary land
where there is no water.
2 So I have looked upon you
in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
3 Because your  steadfast
love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
4 So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 My soul will be  satisfied
as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise
you with joyful lips,
6 when I remember you upon
my bed, and meditate on you in
the watches of the night;
7 for you have been my help,
and in  the shadow of your
wings I will sing for joy.
8 My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
