OUR STORY
It all began in a pink living room…
After fifteen years of being in Bible study, praying daily, and serving my local church, I still didn’t know how to live the Christian life. I didn’t know what I was missing and did not know how to take God’s Word to heart and walk it out in my relationship with the Lord, my husband, my children, or in my community. I desperately wanted to know how to live what I believed. I cried out to the Lord, asking for help, and approached the older women in my church to disciple me. The Lord in His wisdom kept me waiting. I waited patiently for the Lord, but I did not always wait patiently. In His perfect timing, the Lord brought a woman who loved and cared for me by instructing me in God’s Word. I was deeply blessed by her obedience to God’s command in Titus 2 for the older women to teach the younger women. The Lord taught me how to know and love God and follow Him in His Word.
My husband, Kevin, witnessed the transformation of my heart and my life and the impact it had upon our marriage and our family. He longed to see other women impacted in a similar way and envisioned them sitting in our living room learning what the Lord had taught me. Believing that the Lord would bring women into our home for that very purpose he, much to my surprise, shared his idea to paint the living room pink. I wondered why pink and he replied that he thought it would be nurturing and comforting. He went through five or six shades of pink before finding the right one. Well, the Lord brought the women!
The Lord continued to grow the ministry. He brought other women who desired to work together to provide discipleship Bible study resources that would impact women’s hearts and lives. We all longed to see God call, equip, and encourage women to know Jesus, love Him, and follow Him in faithful Obedience. Since that day, many discipleship Bible studies have been written and taught, and thousands of women have been discipled, and have gone on to disciple others.

Within Your Local Church
Our heart is to serve the local church. Thistlebend discipleship Bible studies work within a traditional church Bible study structure or in a small group.
Online
Online options meet the growing demand of those with challenging schedules and life circumstances in non-traditional settings and who also may find themselves away from their home church: Missionaries, college students, church planters, military personnel, hospital or homebound, single moms, off-shift workers, etc.
Made for Your Schedule
Thistlebend discipleship Bible studies are designed to meet women right where they are. Anyone can spend either 15 minutes or up to 1 hour a day, depending on where they are in their walk with the Lord or their season of life. Our studies also integrate biblical spiritual disciplines into all of our study resources.
