One thing that stands out to me about Thistlebend is the beauty of their small group discipleship model which promotes growth in us. I had always felt I had to hide my true self, being embarrassed about my sin, fearing what others think.
But in James the bible tells us to confess our sins to one another and to pray for each other that we may be healed. This is what we do in our small groups and the confession and transparency and accountability has become a beautiful gift to me.
We can be real with each other and love and forgive each other as Jesus has loved and forgiven us.

When I began the Falling in Love Again with Your Lord study I was anxious about a bad situation that I was going through. It was impressive how the study reflected God’s love and how He was instructing me and correcting me.
As I was studying and praying with my prayer partner I could see how thirsty I was for Jesus. I wanted a more intimate relationship with the Lord … I grew day-by-day and my spirit. Every week we could see God ministering in our hearts. My spirit became more sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
