IMPORTANT NOTE: In the Leader Kit, start by reviewing the Contents page. It will help familiarize you with what is available to you. In addition, the documents in the lists of printables and templates on each page (also located in Part Two of each Leader’s Guide) are optional and are simply available to you to use if they are helpful to you. Most are editable Word documents so you can adjust and personalize the information and specifics for your particular class and group.

Printing Suggestions for All Documents Contained in Leader Kit

Orientation: This can be printed in booklet format or just normal two-sided and stapled for each member of your group. It will be helpful for familiarizing everyone with the foundation and principles of a Thistlebend study as well as the language and format being referenced, whether it’s used as “homework” for the first week or simply to hand out to all the participants in your group for them to review on their own.
First Day Agenda: Adjust with your particular information. Print for small group leaders for the first day.
Weekly Agenda: Adjust with your particular information. Print for small group leaders weekly or print on cardstock to keep in small group rooms.
Syllabus: Adjust with correct dates and your particular information. Print a copy for each participant.
Attendance Roster: Print one for each small group leader. For the leader to track attendance and homework completed, so they can see any patterns for which they would want to inquire about for the purpose of helping the ladies problem solve any circumstances that are hindering them and for knowing how to pray for them specifically.
Address Roster: Print one for each small group leader. Fill out on first day and then make copies for the group.
Personal Information Roster: Print one for each small group leader. Fill out on the first day and then make copies for the group.
Homework Accountability Cards: Print on cardstock and cut, one for each participant each week. Meant to be filled out during small group. Confidential, for leader only.
Taking the Truth to Heart Cards: Print on cardstock and cut, one for each participant each week. These are meant to be used as an at-home/on-the-go reminder of the Taking the Truth to Heart information.
Affirmation and Commitment: Print copies for each participant to have the first day of class to review and pray through on their own. Then print one larger version on cardstock for signing by all participants on week two or three.
Small Group Guidelines: Print copies for all participants; review in small group and sign on day one.
Scripture Memorization Tool: Print on cardstock and cut. Each participant should receive one to help with Scripture memory and to ensure everyone is memorizing the same version when reciting together. The cards (vs. bookmark) when cut can be put in a name badge sleeve and either clipped or velcroed.
Sample Announcements: Adjust with your particular information.
Sample Weekly Email: Adjust weekly with your particular information.
Sample Hostess Checklist: Adjust with your particular information. Print on cardstock and post.
List of Favorites: Print copies for all participants. To be filled out in small group for group leader’s use to love on the ladies.
Care Cards: Print on any paper, one for each participant each week. These are turned in to the leaders each week so they can be praying for prayer requests and also know where a participant might be struggling with the study.
Small Group Time Management Form: Print on any paper, one for each small group each week. Assign someone to be the time manager of the group to help the group stay on time.
