Genesis 1:27-31 ESV
So God created man
in his own image,
in the image of God
he created him;
male and female
he created them.

And God blessed them.

And God said to them,
“Be fruitful and multiply and
fill the earth and subdue it,
and have dominion
over the fish of the sea
and over the birds of the heavens
and over every living thing
that moves on the earth.”

And God said,
“Behold, I have given you
every plant yielding seed that is
on the face of all the earth,
and every tree with seed in its fruit.
You shall have them for food.
And to every beast of the earth
and to every bird of the heavens
and to everything that creeps
on the earth, everything that
has the breath of life,
I have given every
green plant for food.”
And it was so.

And God saw everything
that he had made,
and behold,
it was very good.

Do you see His power
and glory.
Stop and think
about what
you have just read,
and worship.

God made man.

He made them
in His image.
He made them
male and female.

He blessed them.
He commanded them to be
fruitful, to multiply,
to fill the earth
and subdue it.

He gave them
dominion over all
living creatures.

He provided for all.

God Almighty is Lord of
heaven and earth.
He is KING
over every man,
woman, and child.
He is KING over
every king, lord,
monarch, and judge.

Let us bow down and
worship Him.
Let us give Him
the honor He is due.

Psalm 95:6-7
Come, let us bow
down in worship,
let us kneel before
the LORD our Maker;
for he is our God
and we are the people
of his pasture,
the flock under his care.

He is the one true God.
There are no other gods
before Him.

Direct your thoughts to
contemplate these
familiar verses.
Ask the Lord to help
you hear the powerful
truths they proclaim.

God is both the Author
and the Lord of creation.
He is your Maker.

Graciously and generously
offer Him a sacrifice of praise
and thanksgiving.

Now prayerfully read the
following hymn by Isaac Watts
and close in prayer.

“Let Every Creature Join”
Written by Isaac Watts
The Psalms of David (1719).

Let every creature join
To praise th’eternal God;
Ye heav’nly hosts, the song begin,
And sound His name abroad.

Thou sun with golden beams,
And moon with paler rays;
Ye starry lights, ye twinkling flames,
Shine to your maker’s praise.

He built those worlds above,
And fixed their wondrous frame;
By His command they stand or move,
And ever speak His name.

Ye vapors, when ye rise,
Or fall in showers of snow;
Ye thunders, murmuring
round the skies,
His power and glory show.

Wind, hail, and flashing fire,
Agree to praise the Lord,
When ye in dreadful storms conspire
To execute His word.

By all His works above
His honors be expressed;
But saints that taste His saving love
Should sing His praises best.

Let earth and ocean know
They owe their maker praise;
Praise Him, ye watery worlds below,
And monsters of the seas.

From mountains near the sky,
Let His high praise resound;
From humble shrubs and cedars high,
And vales and fields around.

Ye lions of the wood,
And tamer beasts that graze,
We live upon His daily food,
And He expects your praise.

Ye birds of lofty wing,
On high His praises bear;
Or sit on flowery boughs, and sing
Your maker’s glory there.

Ye creeping ants and worms,
His various wisdom show,
And flies, in all your shining swarms,
Praise Him that dressed you so.

By all the earth-born race
His honors be expressed;
But saints, that know
His heav’nly grace
Should learn to praise Him best.

Monarchs of wide command,
Praise ye th’eternal King;
Judges, adore that sovereign hand
Whence all your honors spring.

Let vigorous youth engage
To sound His praises high:
While growing babes, and withering age,
Their feebler voices try.

United zeal be shown
His wondrous fame to raise:
God is the Lord; His name alone
Deserves our endless praise.

And all pronounce Him blessed;
But saints, that dwell so near His heart,
Should sing His praises best.

Close with a prayer in
your own words.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Genesis 1:1 ESV
In the beginning,
God created the heavens
and the earth.

Genesis 1:27 ESV
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;

The more we meditate upon
God’s Word the more
it shapes how we think,
how we feel,
and how we see
the world.
Yesterday at
the Getty concert
the following Scripture
was read,
it was more meaningful
to me than ever before
because of the time we have
spent in Genesis 1.

Colossians 1:16-17
For by him all things were created,
in heaven and on earth,
visible and invisible,
whether thrones or dominions
or rulers or authorities-all things
were created through him and for him.
And he is before all things,
and in him all things hold together.

They then sang
this well known song
penned by Keith Getty
and Stuart Townend.
I pray it is a blessing to you.

“In Christ Alone”

In Christ alone
my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength,
my song;
This cornerstone,
this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest
drought and storm.
What heights of love,
what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled,
when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all-
Here in the love
of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone,
Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in
helpless babe!
This gift of love and
righteousness,
Scorned by the ones
He came to save.
Till on that cross
as Jesus died,
The wrath of God
was satisfied;
For ev’ry sin on
Him was laid-
Here in the death
of Christ I live.

There in the ground
His body lay,
Light of the world by
darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in
glorious day,
Up from the grave
He rose again!
And as He stands
in victory,
Sin’s curse has lost
its grip on me;
For I am His and
He is mine-
Bought with the precious
blood of Christ.

No guilt in life,
no fear in death-
This is the pow’r of
Christ in me;
From life’s first cry
to final breath,
Jesus commands
my destiny.
No pow’r of hell,
no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me
from His hand;
Till He returns or
calls me home-
Here in the pow’r of Christ
I’ll stand.

The time spent meditating
upon God’s Word
and taking it to heart is not
ever wasted.

Pray through the
the psalm and then
close in prayer.

Psalm 1
Blessed is the man
who walks not in the
counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
2  but his delight is in the law
of the Lord,
and on his law he
meditates day and night.
3  He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does,
he prospers.
4  The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the
wind drives away.
5  Therefore the wicked
will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the
congregation of the righteous;
6  for the Lord knows
the way of the righteous,
but the way of the
wicked will perish.

Lord, I want to worship you.
You are my God,
my creator, and my Lord.
I want to love you
and serve you
and follow after you
with all of our heart,
soul, mind, and strength.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Genesis 1:1 ESV
In the beginning,
God created the heavens
and the earth.

Genesis 1:27 ESV
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

If we believe that
God is God,
that He created ALL THINGS,
and that He is LORD OF ALL,
we want to take these
truths to heart
by thoroughly
meditating upon them
and aligning our thinking
according to the
TRUTH.

The words of the Bible are
TRUTH.

We want to establish all of
our thinking upon the
foundation of
TRUTH.

In order to do this
we must first strip away every
FALSEHOOD.

We must put away all
vain imagination,
erroneous ideas,
bad habits,
lies of the enemy,
personal opinion,
traditions of men
bad habits,
“arguments,
and every lofty opinion
raised against the
knowledge of God,
and take every thought
captive to obey Christ.”

What we think and
what we think about
and what we believe matters.
We want to build our lives upon
TRUTH.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6
For though we walk in the flesh,
we are not waging war according
to the flesh. For the weapons
of our warfare are not of the flesh
but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy
arguments and every
lofty opinion raised
against the knowledge of God,
and take every thought captive to
obey Christ, being ready to
punish every disobedience,
when your obedience is complete.

Take time to review the
previous Gospel Moments so far
and reflect on the truths.
Ask the Lord by His grace to
help revise your thinking
so that all of your thoughts
come up under His authority
and align with His Word.
Ask Him to help you establish a
solid foundation upon which
to build a life-changing
understanding of the Gospel.

Before
you begin your review,
pray through
the prayer and
Scriptures below
asking God for His mercy
and grace.

Lord, I want to worship you.
You are my God,
my creator, and my Lord.
I want to love you
and serve you
and follow after you
with all of our heart,
soul, mind, and strength.
I know that those who
keep your word are blessed.
Please grant me your grace
to understand your word,
to hold on tightly to truth,
and live according to it.

Psalm 119 various

9 How shall a young man
keep his way pure?
By guarding it according
to your word.

10 With my whole heart
I seek you;

11  I have stored up your
word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.

14  In the way of your
testimonies I delight
as much as in all riches.
15  I will meditate on your precepts
and fix my eyes on your ways.

17 Deal bountifully with
your servant, that I may live
and keep your word.
18  Open my eyes, that I
may behold wondrous
things out of your law.

27 Make me understand
the way of your precepts,
and I will meditate on
your wondrous works.

30  I have chosen the way
of faithfulness;
I set your rules before me.

32  I will run in the way
of your commandments
when you enlarge my heart!

37 Turn my eyes from
looking at worthless things;
and give me life in your ways.

40  Behold, I long for your precepts;
in your righteousness give me life!

64 The earth, O Lord,
is full of your steadfast love;
teach me your statutes!

68 You are good and do good;
teach me your statutes.

72 The law of your mouth
is better to me
than thousands of gold
and silver pieces.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
